If you’re looking for an alternative to the same ol’ bar scene, then come on down and shake what your mama gave ya each and every Friday night til 2am at the Annie. We’ve got a huge dance floor, bumping sound system, and more crazy-ass lights than Time Square!

KARAOKE is now being held at the American Legion Club in Gloucester downstairs Tuesday Nights 8pm- Midnight, No cover and is open to members and non-members. Hosted by DJ Scottie Mac and Crazy J

This is so exciting….I met Kingsley Flood a couple of years ago or more at a Monday night open jam and fell in love with them. You can catch George Hall a psychedelic to the moon guitar at the jam most Monday nights. He is a treat to hear as always.

Boston based rockers Kingsley Flood are “Having Words With Meg” on national Sirius XM Radio.

With an upcoming Gloucester gig June 2 gig at The Madfish on Rocky Neck and their recent 2nd release “Colder Still”,  these upstarts revvv things up with their own gumbo of Punk Americana..and everything from the Sax to the Fiddle to the Coffee Can are part of the sound.  Band member George Hall hails from Gloucester…And they’ll throw in a Tom Waits cover for good measure.

I am wicked excited about the Monday night jam. If you happen to stop by you may get to hear the Bandit Kings, Inge Berge and who knows who may appear. During these jams you get some magical moments from musicians that are there to let loose with no planned agenda.

Hello everyone!
Wednesday, April 18th
This week: SASQUATCH!

In music as well as in life, this man has captured his own
personal hold on Cape Ann’s cultural history. He has written
a mini-catalog of moving songs of the sea, including the
unforgettable anthem: “Wrapped in the Arms of Gloucester”.
It is my honor to bring Paul Cohan, a.k.a. SASQUATCH back
to the Rhumb Line once again. ~ Fly

Visit this link to see the charming video and hear the sweet
music of Paul’s lovely ballad, “Christmas In Gloucester”…

Thursday – 9:00 to 12:00 ~ Dave Sag’s Blues Party

Dave says,

It’s Ragnarock ‘n’ Roll time this week as we welcome back the happiest guy I know: Mr. Orville Giddings.  Guffawing glitarist, landscraper and talented songwriter/ singer, this guy always brightens up my day. His 1000 watt smile always makes me wish I was wearing welding goggles! It’s always an honor to have him play with us. Hope I can remember his songs!
He’ll be backed up by another fine giggler, Mr. Steve Chaggaris on the skins. He’s the Kojak of the kit. Who loves ya, baby? Always muttering and tee-heeing profusely. Of course, Mr. Greg T. with his flower pot hat and myself on base will be there, too, just in case. A fine night for anything remotely connected with the itmosphere! See you there!

Mondays – 6:00 to8:00 ~ Chantey Night, an open Monday night sing featuring members of Three Sheets to the Wind, Knockabout, and other music groups from the North Shore and the Boston area, has moved from the Cape Ann Brewing Company to  the Dog Bar . The singing begins at 6:00 every Monday night. For all the schooner heads this is quite a thing to see. If you have someone coming into town and want to hear and see something very different it can be pretty cool.

Be warned though- don’t go planning a meeting or meet-up where you think you’re going to be able to carry on a conversation while they are singing. Best to plan it for a different night at Cape Ann Brewing.
