Music Around Town ~ April 9-15, 2018
This original story unfolds in 1991 at Gloucester’s mythical Dory Café. Hurricane Bob is about to strike, and one by one the characters are introduced, a mix of locals and visitors, each with their own quirks and conflicts. The artist, the lumpers, the wealthy, the working class, the politician and the tourists are forced to face themselves and one another in this mix of comedy, drama, romance and pathos.

Sarah Levecque, early blues, country, folk and rock music.
Sarah Levecque is a singer songwriter guitarist who moves easily between the sturdy roots of American music. Influenced in equal parts by early blues, country, folk and rock music.
The 2008 release Crooked with Me is an amalgam of these Blues and Country styles.
“Sarah’s, See Me Come Around is equal parts sultry and whimsical, a smoky, bluesy fold tune that rolls with a sort of mischievous loll. It’s both easy going and solid, the sort of song you can just lose yourself in. Elsewhere on Restless Restless Blues, Levecque’s music moves at a slow, steady honky tonk pace. There’s and immense steadiness about these songs, but also a sort of undeniable force, like a slow-moving freight train”.
