This Friday, November 16 at 7:30, featuring John McCutcheon. John is a “big name” for us. He is a well known traditional folk artist, singer-songwriter, and storyteller. He plays an amazing array of instruments, including the hammer dulcimer. A version of our (really his) poster that’s suitable for online posting is attached.

The concert page, which includes links for tickets, is at https://oldsloopcoffeehouse.org/concert/john-mccutcheon-2018.

Here is a video of John performing his classic song “Christmas in the Trenches”: https://youtu.be/sJi41RWaTCs

photo: Weezie

tickets: https://oldsloopcoffeehouse.org/concert/chelsea-berry-2018?

Chelsea Berry will lead a celebration of the Christmas season with a performance in the church sanctuary. She will perform Christmas music as well as some of her own wonderful songs. Special guests will add to the festivities.

Chelsea is a singer-songwriter with the edge, power, and finesse of legends. Her presence has been described by listeners as “compelling… she draws the entire house into her world like moths to a flame.” As a vocalist and performer, she evokes the style of artists such as Cheryl Crow, Eva Cassidy, KD Lang, and Melissa Etheridge. Chelsea was born and raised in Alaska.

Acoustic duo Chris Langathanios and Joe WIlkins will open the show.

Advance tickets are $20. Visit the website at oldsloopcoffeehouse.org, John Tarr Store in Rockport, or The Bookstore of Gloucester. The suggested contribution at the door is $25 for adults, $15 for those 65 and older, $5 for those under 18, and $50 for families.
