From Mr Sags himself,
This week showcases Gloucester’s own version of the CERN Hadron Collider, in the form of Ms. Diane Blue, the Octomom of the Blues. We love this gal! She’s so much fun to play with. She’ll be aiming her proton beam at you! With any luck, we will be destroying half your pineal gland.

Also, our own keyboard millipede and mesonite, Mr. Joe Bargar, will be poking his fingers into the eye of the storm . Greg T. will be pushing the envelope, as usual, and I’ll be likking the envelope, in honor of Rahm Dass. Make sure we don’t touch each other! We start at 9, end at 12:00

Thursday – 8:30 to 12:00 ~ Dave Sags Blues Party
From Mr. Dave Sags himself,
Another great treat this week: we welcome back that daring multi-incrementalist, vocalist and Prune-juice industry spokesmodel, Mr. Steve Sadler. He, of the former Barking Sharks fame, is truly one of our faves. A great glitarist, fiddler etc. etc., This guy can play anything with strings. Even without strings, we’re glad to have him around. Just don’t get too close.
In the end zone we got Mr. Forrest “Frosty” Padgett, hackin’ and whackin’ and slashin’ on the ol’ drumbulators, and polishing up our time, whilst Greg T. will be foamin’ at the fingers, tryin’ to get it all out. I’m gettin’ nervous just thinkin’ about it. C’mon down!

Thursday – 8:30 to 12:00 ~ Dave Sags Blues Party
WARNING;This weeks: interplanetary saxamaphonists Sax “Gordie ” Beadle and “Razor” Rik Razdan are comin’ after you! Could be a category 5 kind of evening, so move your shrink appts. or your bowling lessons to another time and submit to the Muse.
We have a special treat for ya this Thursday: Mr. “Sax” Gordie Beadle has agreed to come out of a cloud on a bolt of lightening and play for you. If you don’t know this guy, you really gotta get out more often: he is the Man of boiling oil, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. He’s the finest Saxist in the entire region, and has the scars and the boils to prove it!
But wait, there’s more! If you act now, I’ll throw in, at absolutely no cost to anyone, Mr. Rik Razdan, another tenor (and bari) kingpin, famous for his stint with the Megawatts. Wait’ll you hear this!
Also, Gym Gwin, Fred’s brother, will be bangin’ his drums while we remove thorns from his paw.Keith Lockhart will be there in spirit. Greg T. will be de-fuzzing his hat and scratchin’ his gritar, and I’ll be better when I’m older….
And Friday: it’s the return of the GEEZERZ, once again at Elliot’s at the Blackburn from 8:30 to 11:30.Hooray! We’re throwing Dave Brown, Dave Mattacks, Greg’s Hat, and myself into the cauldron, adding a black kat bone, chicken tooth, and a mojo foot, then mumbling and intoning some quack incantations, we’re gonna see what boils over. Operators are standing by.

“Jessica Delfino has one of the funniest bits I’ve ever heard…smart, socially aware comedy.” -The Huffington Post
“A stirring show of ribald folk songs. There’s more to this seriously talented comic songwriter than jokes…a tough show to top” — London METRO
“We were immediately stuck to our seats stunned and smiling as Jessica Delfino engaged us in tune after tune…She is funny. And smart.” — Thurston Moore & Byron Coley, Arthur Magazine
Glitters, sprinkles, rainbow fluff: A) the first few words of a kids’ song? Or, B) the opening line of an edgy, electro-pop number which got Jessica publicly denounced by the US Catholic League, sealed her first record deal and sent her on a UK tour where she had sold out shows? That would be “B”.
Introducing Jessica Delfino. Originally hailing from Damariscotta, Maine, Jessica now calls New York City her home, but she spends a good amount of her time on the road these days, sharing her “dirty folk rock” with anyone who will listen. And it turns out there are actually plenty of people who are ready to hear Jessica’s often comedic, sometimes naughty ballads, anthems and musical numbers.
Much of the award-winning songstress’s repertoire addresses the darker side of life, as in her song, “I Hate Everybody”, or deconstructs sex acts posing as anti-war campfire songs, as in her song, “No More War”. In some songs, she keeps it clean, discussing unicorns and the like. Her bevy of unusual instruments include the normal enough guitar, but then she adds to that an “emergency whistle”, a “q-chord”, and a “flying V ukulele”, and you’ve got “fun for the whole family,” Jessica explains, “except for the kids.”
Jessica recently performed at the world famous Reading & Leeds Festival in England where Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain famously rolled himself out onto the stage in a wheel chair some years ago. Jessica’s work has appeared on TV, radio and she was just this week touted as one of “NYC’s 50 most stylish people” in a photo spread in Time Out NY. Oh, and she is something of an internet celebrity. If you don’t believe it, she suggests you just “google her and see what comes up.”
