Prime Rib Specials! Wednesdays Only! Hello everyone! Wednesday, November 30th Special Guest: TONI ANN ENES!
For those who’ve been off the planet for a while, Toni Ann is a local musician (and dear friend) who has played the North Shore for over 30 years. In 2002 she released a debut CD colaborating with her life long pal David Brown. Her favorite format is a combination of acoustic covers and original music. Bit it’s the intimate, personal connection with her audience that makes the magic happen. Come say hello.

Chantey Night, an open Tuesday night sing featuring members of Three Sheets to the Wind, Knockabout, and other music groups from the North Shore and the Boston area, has moved from the now-closed Cameron’s to the Cape Ann Brewing Company. The singing begins at 8:30 every Tuesday night. For all the schooner heads this is quite a thing to see. If you have someone coming into town and want to hear and see something very different it can be pretty cool.
Be warned though- don’t go planning a meeting or meet-up where you think you’re going to be able to carry on a conversation while they are singing. Best to plan it for a different night at Cape Ann Brewing.

A very special thanks to John Rockwell and Julie Dougherty
carrying the Rhumb Line torch while I was away! Europe
was amazing, as always! Ask me about it when we see each
other this…
There are dozens upon dozens of artists I could refer to as
musical influences in my life. But none of ‘em left an imprint
like this guy. I was a young teen playing only electric rock
and blues when I met Chick Marston. With his masterful
acoustic guitar finger picking styles and deep American folk-
blues roots, he opened my eyes wide to a whole new world
of music and culture. Chick took me to more than a few of
the legendary Newport Folk & Jazz Festivals of the mid-’60s,
introducing me to the TRUE heavyweight champions of all
time, like for instance, The Staple Singers, Pete Seeger, The
Clancy Brothers, Jim Kweskin, Nina Simone, Dizzy Gillespie…
and so many others. Since then, I’ve been spending my life
simply trying to ‘pick like Chick’. There’s always a great vibe
floating around when he and I get together and play. Come
and catch some of the magic fairy dust.

Well, I’m drunk again and basically a pain to meet on the streets of
this basically clean city. So, in keeping with my private zoo, may I
introduce Mr. Greg Lutrell? This guy is the coolest kat that is what am.
Prune juice magnate, uvula waggler, and glitarist nonpareil, this Teen
Beat star is sure to melt the enamel offa yer incisors. No assembly
needed. Safe when used as directed. Former hellion of the Michigan Black Snake band, Greg has seen it all, sometimes in 3-D. One of our more welcome infestations. You need this!
Giving our dry cells a much needed jump start will be that Irish
skinmaster: Mr. “Molto” Benny Benson, curator of the groove. Mr, Greg T.
, on catarrh ,and myself provide the jumper cables. Don’t tell
anybody!
And I’m getting tired of saying it, but Sunday nite I’m
playing in Nbpt. at Glenn’s Cool Bar and Restaurant with the Justin
Quinn band. The food is fabulous, and the band’s pretty good, too.6 to
9: make a reservation:It’s worth it!
Im getting outa this cast next week. It’s killing me! 6 weeks of torture! Anybody willing to drive me to Nbpt . on sunday??

Chantey
Night, an open Tuesday night sing featuring members of Three Sheets to
the Wind, Knockabout, and other music groups from the North Shore and
the Boston area, has moved from the now-closed Cameron’s to the Cape Ann
Brewing Company. The singing begins at 8:30 every Tuesday night. For
all the schooner heads this is quite a thing to see. If you have
someone coming into town and want to hear and see something very
different it can be pretty cool.
Be warned
though- don’t go planning a meeting or meet-up where you think you’re
going to be able to carry on a conversation while they are singing.
Best to plan it for a different night at Cape Ann Brewing.
