Chelsea Berry is recording a new album!!!
I’ve put together a plan, including a budget to cover recording, mixing, mastering, and pressing- for a total of $10,000.
If the goal of $10,000 isn’t met, your cards will not be charged and no prizes will be mailed out.
If we raise more than $10,000, the money will go towards promotion, touring, equipment, and all those other things that it takes get a new project off the ground.

I am wicked excited about the Monday night jam. If you happen to stop by you may get to hear the Bandit Kings, Inge Berge and who knows who may appear. During these jams you get some magical moments from musicians that are there to let loose with no planned agenda.
Thank you to Dan King for hosting this jam and to Fred Shrigley for making it possible.

Surf & Turf Specials!
Wednesdays Only!
Hello everyone!
Wednesday, September 26th
Hosting This Week: ALLEN ESTES!
I’m unable to be there this week, but the Rhumb Line is in
capable hands with the great Allen Estes as host. Allen has
chosen Maine songwriter, Barry Michaud (pictured below from
the cover of his 1st CD, “Better Late Than Never”) as his
musical guest. This is what we often like to call “new blood”
in town! Come see! ~ Fly

Thursday – 9:00-12:00~ Dave Sag’s Blues Party
Dave says,
Well, I’m drunk again and ready to spray your face with the latest in honky jive happenings, so, let’s get to it!
This week’s show at the Rumblind features that cogno-honk student of the great Chicago harp masters, Mr. Justin Quinn. He sings, he plays gravelly harmonica, and he will make you dance. Big J. hosts the Sunday night blues shows at Glenn’s in Nbpt., where the rule is play, sing, play, then shut up and do it again. Do not be fooled by clever substitutes. This is the real deal.
Standing tall and making us sound good is that musical chameleon, Mr. Jon Ross, whose career is so hot that he’s taken a day job. But seriously, folks, Jon is one of my favorite guys to play “guess that tune”. You can’t fool him; it’s like having 4 wheel drive in the musical backwoods….you can’t get stuck! He’s got ears bigger than a Kansas cornfield!
And, our cavitation specialist on the goatskins will be that formidable fountain of rhythm,Mr. Forrest “Frosty” Padgett, nearly my favorite drummer. Don’t tell anybody. Of course, I’ll be on base, trying to fill in the cracks, and mebbe hit a homer, if need be. Ask your doctor if 4 martinis are right for you. See you then!

The singing begins at 6:00 every Monday night. For all the schooner heads this is quite a thing to see. If you have someone coming into town and want to hear and see something very different it can be pretty cool.
Be warned though- don’t go planning a meeting or meet-up where you think you’re going to be able to carry on a conversation while they are singing. Best to plan it for a different night at the Dog Bar.

Thursday – 9:00-12:00~ Dave Sag’s Blues Party
Dave says,
It’s time to check engine light and tighten down the thumbscrews as we welcome back that truly transformative king of the Blues: Mr. Ricky “King” Russell. Everytime this guy shows up, I have to go to a day spa for three days to recover and get my toes…well, never mind. Put an air raid horn on the jukebox, drink 12 cups of coffee, and you’ll know what this guy sounds like.
Worse, he’s bringing “Mr.Ed” Scheer with him. Haven’t seen him in awhile since his stint on Celebrity Rehab. I think his elbow is fine, too. Ed D. is the finest frontman, singer, and drummer I’ve ever heard, I swear to Gawd!
That’s it! 3 singers, 2 gunslingers and a cleanup man. You miss this, you will pay!

Dave says,
This week, The Spear of Longinus Productions is proud to present the one and only Mr. Willie”Loco” Alexander .What else do you need to know? The hippest cat that is what am will be drilling out your eardrums to the teenage beat of such illuminated masters as L’il Richard,”Fats” Domino and Chunk Berry. Backed up by his longtime guitarist, Mr. Billy Loosigian, we’re sure you’re gonna need some medical attention before the night is thru. I know I will.
Pushing the beat over the top will be our sartorially challenged life force, Mr. Steevee Chaggaris. I’ll be fooling with the bass and maybe singing a bit. A night to dance and remember what it’s like to have hormones. Do come!

Mondays – 6:00 to 8:00 ~ Chantey Night, an open Monday night sing featuring members of Three Sheets to the Wind, Knockabout, and other music groups from the North Shore and the Boston area, has moved from the Cape Ann Brewing Company to the Dog Bar .

The Bandit Kings make a record
Its no seccret how much I love the Bandit Kings. I try to make it to every show possible. This is one band that you can listen to over and over and never get tired of it. I am so excited about the new record they are making and look forward to owning my very own copy to add with the others. Maybe you could help make this happen too. Come on in for a Rockin’ good time…
Musical Chairs tonight. 8-11pm with Brian King. Special Feature Sean Revoltah! Great songwriter, great voice, and killer smile.
Full Circle returns to The Farm in Essex this Saturday night to burn the hay barn down with some of the hottest classic rock around. The Farm offers incredibly good eats americana that you just have to check out! The ribs and wings are fantastic! Add Great Bartenders that know how to make a drink and a dance floor just begging to be sanded by the friction of dancing shoe’s and a really fun band like Full Circle and you have all the makings for a great night… So, Come on down to The Farm and help Full Circle show them what it is to have a real Ho-down (did I write that correctly, lol!) I mean Hoe-down! 🙂
