Bad Moon Rising

by Joanne Silva on Friday, September 3, 2010 at 1:30pm

I have never heard these guys play out before. I checked them out on myspace a while ago and for some reason could not make it to one of their gigs. This band is wicked good! It was like being in the room with Creedence Clearwater Revival with some massively awesome music going on. This is of no surprise when you have Dave Brown, Greg Tower, John P. Anthony and Forrest Padget in the room. They started the night off with “Heard It Through The Grapevine”. My favorites ” I Put A Spell On You” and “Run Through The Jungle” and ” Born On The Bayou”. People where sayin is that guy (John P. Antony) from Creedence Clearwater Revival? He certainly sounds like he is. People knew the words most of the time and were singing along. Now I know why I had all of their music when I was a teenager but it became gone somehow. Guess I’m going to have to change that. There was nonstop dancing and the place was packed. Wow!.

Check them out. Hope they play again soon!

Music Around Town ~ August 23 – 29, 2010

SPECIAL MONDAY NIGHT OPEN JAM TO FEATURE MEMBERS OF TREY ANASTASIO BAND

On Monday, August 23 Russ Lawton and Ray Paczkowski from the Trey Anastasio Band (the guitarist from Phish) will join host Dan King at The Rhumbline in Gloucester for a special Monday Night Open Jam. Paczkowski is originally from Chatham Mass. and Lawton lived in Salem for many years before moving to Vermont to concentrate on his local collaborations. He hosted a multitude of popular open mics and jams in the North Shore and has played in the Boston area for many years (Hard Rock Cafe, the Orpheum…) through his years there and has collaborated with King often, live and in the studio.

The infamous Open Jam is celebrating 15 years this August and will feature a full set by Russ and Ray’s new duo, Soule Monde (Lawton, the drummer and Paczkowski, the keyboardist of the Trey Anastasio Band and Classic TAB). Other special guests will include the Bandit King’s Dennis Monagle, Joe Cardoza, Renee Dupuis, and Ann Marie Shimanoski, as well as Brian O’Connor of Groove, Sebastian Moceri of UFO and many more!Lawton and Paczkowski are members of Trey Anastasio’s solo band and Lawton also tours with Vermont band, Strangefolk. Between them, Russ Lawton and Ray Paczkowski have backed up the likes of Santana, Dave Matthews, Steve Earle, Los Lobos, and countless others over their celebrated careers. They have played Bonaroo. Austin City Limits, All Points West, and Red Rocks, to name just a few. Lawton and Paczkowski are pleased to bring this wealth of music experience back to the North Shore, to the Rhumbline in particular, and to the longest running jam in Cape Ann history!

The Monday, August 23 show will be a special live event, not an Open Jam. However, usually The Open Jam is a weekly session where local musicians may sign up and sing or play with a full or partial band. This is any local (and not so local) musician’s  best opportunity to showcase their talent in front of an encouraging, excited audience. PA, mics, drum kit and some instruments provided. Featuring a stellar house-band comprised of Dan King, Dennis Monagle, and Joe Cardoza. Mondays in August. Monday, August 23 at The Rhumbline.  41 Railroad Ave., Gloucester, MA; 9:30pm, no cover.

About Josh Caress & The Glasnost Gang

While he doesn’t always admit it up front, Josh Caress is old enough to remember the Cold War, having grown up in that last generation of American kids who lived under safety net of “assured mutual destruction” that prevented the two most powerful nations on earth from destroying each other because of their diametrically opposed ideologies.

But for a kid growing up in suburban Illinois in the 1980’s, these things were in the background. For Josh anyway, life was good – his parents loved each other, there was a street to ride your bike, a yard to play baseball, and an older brother to pick on you. Josh used these experiences as the starting point for his 2007 breakthrough album, “The Rockford Files,” called “a lovingly crafted and heartfelt work of the highest order” by independentclauses.com.

But he left Illinois when he was ten, moving around the country from L.A. to Michigan, to New England. And now Josh Caress is a grown-up, with a family of his own, and things are much more complicated. And “Perestroika” is a complicated record. The imagery of the title track, “Perestroika On My Mind,” evokes political struggles and spiritual warfare, while other tracks like “Deconstruct,” “Lies” and “Problem/Solution” bring indictments against the darker side of the current cultural climate. But at the heart of “Perestroika,” there is still a little kid from Rockford, Illinois, struggling to resist cynicism, rescue innocence, and kindle the lanterns of hope in all of us.

“Perestroika” is Josh’s sixth self-released record since 2005. He has played all over the United States, from Boston’s Club Passim to Chicago’s Uncommon Ground. He also opened for Rosie Thomas in Grand Rapids, MI, where he was named a finalist in at the FFM festival at Calvin College in 2007. His music has been heard in the film Still On Her Keel by Halfway Rock Media, and has earned consistently positive reviews at independentclauses.com. Josh and his band, The Glasnost Gang, are currently performing in the Boston area and looking to add more dates to the schedule. Josh lives in Massachusetts with his wife and their son, Noah.

About Magnolia

Channel Cafe
Click photo for Magnolia’s website

After a chance meeting between singer songwriter Dan Kaplan and drummer Ken Macleod, Magnolia quickly added longtime friend and guitarist Judson Abts to the lineup. After several months of writing and developing new material, the lineup was filled out with bassist Santiago Saenz, violinist Tina Muzzi, and vocalist Eleanor Halgren.

With myriad influences ranging from traditional folk music and Americana to more contemporary indie and pop, Magnolia combines to form a sound that is at once familiar, but altogether their own.  Abts’ guitar playing is both soaring and untamed, but can also be reserved and ethereal – he brings a keen ear for pop hooks and an impeccable ability to provide the perfect textural backdrop to Macleod’s rhythmic foundation.

All the while, Kaplan explores recognizable themes of love and loss, emotional insecurity and mortality, but manages to survey the landscape of twentysomething trials by fire without sounding derivative. Coupled with a delivery that is both heartfelt and honest, Kaplan’s tales of longing, youth, and world-weariness defy categorization into any one genre.

“I’ve always been drawn to the idea of not being constrained by any preconceived ideas of what music has to be…the goal has always been to figure out how to break the patterns that are so easy [for me] to fall into – to constantly challenge myself to write better melodies, better songs.”

And with an extensive back catalogue already, including 3 solo EPs and a new full length album due out this spring, it’s clear that there’s no end in sight to his creative potential.

Now equipped with a full time practice space and studio in the coastal town of Gloucester, MA, Magnolia will continue to bring their unmistakable style and sound to Boston and throughout the surrounding area.

This is when the magic begins. I would not miss this for the world.

started picking up people from all across the country! Our goal is to bring to the sober community a true

sense community awareness that there are fun things to do without the use and abuse of alcohol and
or drugs, and with our website, a forum for people to find or share these events whether it be just a
group of people heading to the movies, or a large event like we are pulling together for this venue.

We have been creating smaller venue events now for about 8 months, mostly local bands and dances,

but are stretching our wings to do this outdoor Bands and Barbeque Family Time event in the hopes of

raising monies not only for Camp Spindrift, but also for our quest to become nonprofit.

Ok enough said. Our venue for August 12, 2010 incorporate the following

*Local live bands and music from 1-6pm

*A barbeque that is included in the ticket pricing

Thursday August 26  –  8:00 to close ~ Ten Foot Polecats

Ten Foot Polecats are a punk blues band with their deep roots drawn from the North Mississippi Hill Country.  Even though they are basically in their sophomore season, they have made quite an impression on the National and local music scenes as they are currently one of the few blues based bands booked across the region in the rock, blues, punk, rockabilly and psychobilly circuits.  They have also been recently signed to the Hillgrass Bluebilly Record Label out of Austin, Texas. Known as a record label that is at the forefront of the raw & primal roots revolution movement, Hillgrass Bluebilly, and Ten Foot Polecats seem like a perfect match. Nationally, Ten Foot Polecats have been showcased at the 2009 Deep Blues Festival in Minnesota, The 2008 & 2009 Keene Music Festival in New Hampshire, the 2008 Boston Music Festival, and are scheduled to appear in the 2010 Muddy Roots Festival in Nashville, Tennessee and 2010 Heavy Rebel Weekender in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  They have also toured the United States in 2008 & 2009 and played venues from New York City to Seattle and have shared the stage with such nationally known acts as T-Model Ford, Kenny Brown, Kent Burnside and The New Generation, Bob Margolin, Wayne Hancock, Billy Joe Shaver, Black Diamond Heavies, Left Lane Cruiser, Cedell Davis, The Scissormen, Robert Cage, Elmo Williams, The Goddamn Gallows, Sasquatch & The Sickabillys, The Koffin Kats, and more.
“There ain’t a lotta scrappy-ass electric juke-joint blues comin’ outta Allston (Massachusetts), but this dirty trio’s first full-length album makes it seems that the Charles River is a direct tributary of the Mississippi as The Ten Foot Polecats add muscle, blood, and heart to a genre in need of all three.”

Jamie Kent:Neoteny is Jamie Kent’s debut album and is a true reflection of his personality, song writing, talent, and aspirations. The album takes listeners on a journey through the depths of Kent’s mind, touching on experiences in his life that we all can relate to and introducing us to characters that have emerged through Kent’s playful nature and heartfelt imagination.
PRESS:
“Kent possesses a great voice and a fearlessness to be admired as he drifts through glimpses of blues, jazz, and rock notes that suggest Steely Dan influences without being derivative. This one has true promise.”
Donnie Moorhouse, The Springfield Republican
“A fresh, young 23-year-old singer-songwriter with big dreams and an ever-expanding fan base, local artist Jamie Kent’s future as a performer looks quite promising. Drawing on influences from modern artists like Jack Johnson and Jamie Cullum, as well as paying tribute to classic greats Johnny Cash and Frank Sinatra, Kent’s perfectly mellifluous tunes are roll-the-windows-down, soak-up-some-sun kind of good.”

Monday  – 9:00 to 12:30  ~ Open Jam with Dan King and friends

I am wicked excited that the Monday night jam is back. I have to say that I loved hearingThe Bandit Kings and Chelsea Berry over the past few months. They took the place of the jam and gave us some extraordinary music. If you happen to stop by you may get to hear the Bandit Kings, Inge Berge and who knows who may appear. During these jams you get some magical moments from musicians that are there to let loose with no planned agenda.

Thank you to Dan King for hosting this jam and to Fred Shrigley for making it possible.

Wednesday – 8:00 to 11:00 ~ Fly Amero ~ Dinner with Fly Amero *I’ll be hosting and performing as always *Each week will feature a special, invited musical guest *Comfort food dinner specials from Dave Trooper’s kitchen *Sponsored by Shipyard Ale.

Thursday – 8:30 to 12:00 ~ Dave Sags Blues Party

See what Mr. Sags has to say about the blues party going on Thursday night.

// This thursday at the Rumline: the triumphant return of Mr. Jim Scoppa, headstrong harridan and glitarist x-troidinaire. Only surviving member of the famous band: T.H. and the Wreckage, the remainder being incarcerated for attempting to purchase an albino drummer slave in Africa. Wit,chops, and derring- doo doo describe Jim to a tee, makes Clapton sound like Tiny Tim. You gotta see this.
And, bracketing him from behind we have our ever-lovin’, Diesel stompin’ drummnist, Mr. Benny Benson, fashion plate and  Hibernian from Hell. Just love this guy! Fires at a rate of 600 rounds a minute. Of course, Greg “Whammy Bar” Tower will be there, trying to sneak in more Speedy West lix, and me, too, if I can find the place…
AND, ON FRIDAY NITE: It’s the Geezerz, once again, at that venerable venue: The Studio on Rocky Neck. Must I say it again?  A bubbling broth consisting of equal parts of Dave Brown, Dave  Stig-Mattacks, Greg Tower and myself, bringing in all the latest news from Mizar 5. No cover, no minimum,no fair, and no backsies. New hours, too: 8 pm till 11 pm or so, depending on survivors. Drink up!!

Dan King:

Ann Marie and Dan King of the Bandit Kings play a beautiful mix of original, contemporary and classic material stripped down and acoustic style. Ann Marie’s rocking rasp of a vocal coupled with King’s straight up rock and soul guitar playing make for a sweet and strong musical cocktail. They have mastered the art of the Jangle, pop and rock and roll genres especially and bring exquisite original material like “Laredo”  as featured on WXRV the River. Catch them at the Topside in an intimate pub atmosphere while you still can!

41 Railroad Ave., Gloucester, MA; 9:30pm, no cover.—————————————————————————————————————–

August 29th Gloucester Event -Free Vendor Tables!

Dear Potential Vendors and Organizations!

Subject: SoberConnections.net & Cape Ann YMCA Camp Spindrift Event

I’m writing you since you showed an express interest in participating in our August 29 2010 upcoming
event called “End of Summer Splash”. We are scheduled to open the Gates around 12-12:30 PM and
the live music and events will be from 1-6PM. This is a Rain or Shine Event.

This is totally FREE to you the vendor, just set up and good luck! Since this is our first large event,
we cannot promise what our turnout is going to be, it could be 50 or 500. That being the case, we felt
that we couldn’t charge for vendor or organization booths.

This Event is the vision of SoberConnections.net being hosted at Cape Ann’s YMCA Camp Spindrift, 13 Atlantic Avenue, Gloucester, MA 01930.

We at Sober Connections are striving to create events for the sober communities here on the North
Shore, and hopefully expand across the state. Our Social Website, http://www.SoberConnections.net has
started picking up people from all across the country!

*Children’s activities and games

*The use of Camp Spindrift’s Pool with lifeguards

*And hopefully you, the vendors and organizations, to help the parents and kids break up the
afternoon and do some worthwhile shopping or organization awareness!

What we would like from you if you’re interested in setting up, is to just answer the following questions
and contact info, and e-mail it (or snail mail with a quick telephone confirmation) back to us at

Danield@SoberConnections.net. Please let us know as well if you cannot so I don’t send out an annoying follow up e-mail.. lol.

VENDOR INFO NEEDED:

•Vendor Organization Name?

•Vendor Organization info?

•Type of Goods or Organizational program?

•Setup Space needed?

Thanks for responding back to us, and we hope you have a Profitable (in sales or
knowledge) and Fun time with us!

Daniel R Driscoll
President/Creator
SoberConnections. net

We would like to have you onsite to setup before 11:30am so we may organize your vehicles and have
a nice clean festive look for the ticket holders when they start filtering in around 12:30ish.

This Thursday ~ Jenny Dee and The Deeliquents

Jenny Dee & The Deelinquents seem to have a knack for being ‘heard’ by just the right people at just the right time.

After gigging monthly at The Rhumb Line and all around New England since the release of their debut album ‘Keeping Time’ (Q-Dee Records) this past March, the band heard rumors that Peter Wolf of The J. Geils Band had heard the record and was coming to check out one of their shows.  A few months later the rumor became that the Deelinquents were being considered for an opening slot for The J. Geils Band sometime down the road.  Then the band read in the Boston Globe that the opening slot in question was for the J. Geils Band / Aerosmith show at Fenway Park on August 14th.  Two weeks after that article ran, they heard directly from a Peter Wolf representative that they’d been chosen to open the show and that news was confirmed the next day in the Globe.

They’ll be in Centerfield next Saturday, August 14th, playing a half hour set starting at 5:30pm.  For fans of Jenny Dee & The Deelinquents (or J. Geils, or Aerosmith), the show is unfortunately sold out.

But fortunately they’ll be here on Cape Ann for a free show just two days earlier, August 12th, returning to the site of their first ever show in Gloucester: Harbor Loop and the Cape Ann Concert Series.  The Harbor Loop show on Thursday, August 12th begins at 6pm, is free to the public, and is all ages.

“It’s been an amazing run.  Playing our first shows in Gloucester and Cambridge just over a year ago and now getting this opportunity” says Dee’s guitar player and Gloucester resident Tony Goddess, who also runs the Bang-A-Song recording studio under CVS on Main St.  “I think it’s because we play music that people of all ages can enjoy.  Grandparents remember seeing our heroes like The Supremes and the Shangri-La’s on Ed Sullivan, and nowadays kids watch those same clips on YouTube after hearing those classic songs performed by American Idol contestants.  Hopefully our original songs fit right in alongside the “girl-group” hits.”

Another legendary performer also recently took note of Jenny Dee & The Deelinquents.  La La Brooks, the lead singer of Phil Spector’s first band, The Crystals, heard the band online, wrote them appreciatively about keeping the ‘girl-group’ sound and format (three girls dancing and singing in front of a big band) alive, and asked the Deelinquents to be her backup band.   After a show at PRECINCT in Somerville, and at Café 9 in New Haven this spring, they’ll be performing together again at Johnny D’s on September 9th in Somerville, at The Bell House in Brooklyn on September 10th, and at The Ponderosa Stomp in New Orleans on September 24th.

The Deelinquents formed around Jennifer D’Angora’s love of the old Motown/girl-group sounds, like those that La La Brooks made famous in the early sixties (“Da Doo Ron Ron” “Then He Kissed Me”), and she assembled her ‘dream’ band to bring her newly penned batch of songs to fruition.  In addition to her husband Ed Valauskas on bass (The Gravel Pit, The Gentlemen, Hot Stove Cool Music), Jenny Dee added local musician and owner of Bang-A-Song Studios, Tony Goddess (Papas Fritas, SAFETY) on lead guitar, Eric Salt (Electric City) on guitar, Eric Anderson (Schnockered) on drums, and Phil Aiken (Phil Aiken Army) on keys.  To ensure three-part harmonies and a three-female vocalist front line, she called on her sister, Beka D’Angora (of Salem), and Gloucester resident, Samantha Goddess (The Lindsey Buckingham Appreciation Society).

The band spent much of 2009 recording at Q Division Studios in Somerville, MA, and performing throughout New England.  After the Spanish record label Lovemonk released a single (“Keeping Time” b/w “Shake Some Action”), the Deelinquents set out for a two week tour of Spain and sold out shows supporting Eli “Paperboy” Reed in Madrid, Barcelona, Castellon, Valencia, and finally at the Azkena Rock Festival in Vittoria-Gasteiz.

Their debut album “Keeping Time” (Q-Dee Records) was released in March of 2010, and shot to #5 on Amazon.com’s MP3 downloads chart, and the band’s cover of “Shake Some Action” by the Flamin’ Groovies was named by SPIN Magazine as one of the ’15 Songs You Must Hear Now’.   Festival shows followed at Pop Montreal in Montreal, Canada, as well as five showcase shows at South-by-Southwest in Austin, Texas, and an April residency at PRECINCT in Union Square with a guest appearance by La La Brooks.

Despite having shows booked in New York, Montreal, and New Orleans in the next month, Jenny Dee will also be back in Gloucester at The Rhumb Line, and will be recording material for their next album at Bang-A-Song Studios in Gloucester.

Says Goddess, “Everyone in the band, whether they live here or not, has spent time on the North Shore and knows how much people up here on Cape Ann love music, and know how much work you can do if you work hard.  Stepping up to the “3-set-make-em-dance” gigs in Gloucester at The Rhumb Line and Captain Carlos really made us realize what we are in this for: to make music fans dance and sing, just like J. Geils and Aerosmith and all the great bands did when they were working their way up .   Having to focus and tighten our show up for a full 3-set night of entertainment has made us into the kind of band we want to be.  I think playing The Rhumb Line for three hours a night is the best practice we could have had for thirty minutes at Fenway Park.”

Check them out right here on Cape Ann or at jennydeemusic.com before Peter Wolf scoops them up for a countrywide stadium tour!

Hoodoo Revelator

I do not call myself blueslvr for nothing. I have known The Hoodoo Revelator  for along time now. Blues in high gear.  A few of the guys left band and became The Ten Foot Pole Cats .  Jeff Fabrizio the bass player kept this  name alive. Yes, alive and kicking. There is no way you can possibly sit still while these guys are playing. I hope you can come and check them out when they are in town. They have a new harp player Glen Asaro who you are going to love. He does Whammer Jammer to the moon.
J. Geils, Magic, Dick the whole band would be proud to hear what Glen puts out. Although they are not strictly blues they know how to ignite a crowd and get them on to the dance floor. Last time they played  people were dancing right up until closing time. It was wild.  Please be sure to set the date aside.
I look forward to seeing you there.

Here are some photos from last Mondays open jam. There were people there that came as far as Boston to play that night. It was one of the best Mondays I have seen. Enjoy!

Tuesday – 9:00 to 12:30 ~   Henely Douglas and Soul Force ~V~

Wednesday – 8:00 to 11:00 ~ Fly Amero ~ Dinner with Fly Amero *I’ll be hosting and performing as always *Each week will feature a special, invited musical guest *Comfort food dinner specials from Dave Trooper’s kitchen *Sponsored by Shipyard Ale.

Thursday – 8:30 to 12:00 ~ Dave Sags Blues Party

!NEXT THURSDAY: Willie “Loco” Alexander and the boys from Brazil! Featuring Billy Loosigian and Stevie “ha-ha” Chaggaris. Get there early: free cold compresses to the first 50 victims.

See what Dave  has to say,

We got ‘im! Holed  up in an underground cave listenin’ to Wardell  Gray,  we coaxed him out with a case of ginger beer. So, ladies and germs,I present to you: Mr. Willy “Loco” Alexander, the Godfather of Punx and the sfumato of the blues! He’ll be rippin’ up our stage and conjuring up ancient palmers and other musical spirits. He’s been on a force fed diet of Fats Domino, Lil Richard and Chunk Berry for goin’ on fifty years, and the results are staggering. You don’t wanna miss it!
Furthermore, we snagged his longtime cohort, Mr. Billy Loosigian, to join us on glitar. Coffee, martinis, Keith Richards, this guy does it all! One of my personal faves.
Worse, Mr. Steevie Chaggaris will be whackin’ those skins, providing that heartbeat we all know and love.
Of course, Mr. Greg”Whammy Bar” Tower  and myself will be there too. Wear a helmet.

Events/Upcoming Events

Monday  – 9:00 to 12:30  ~ Open Jam with Dan King and friends
I am wicked excited that the Monday night jam is back. I have to say that I loved hearing The Bandit Kings and Chelsea Berry over the past few months. They took the place of the jam and gave us some extraordinary music. If you happen to stop by you may get to hear the Bandit Kings, Inge Berge and who knows who may appear. During these jams you get some magical moments from musicians that are there to let loose with no planned agenda.

Thank you to Dan King for hostingthis jam and to Fred Shrigleyfor making it possible.

Thursday – 8:30 to 12:00 ~ Dave Sags Blues Party

A few words from Mr Dave Sags himself,
Sorry I’m so late, but I’ve been busy harvesting potatoes in Maine all week. Now I gotta work off all that moose fat. So, to help me work it on out, jump up and spin around, I have to get the best. And so I do; in the form of Mario Perrett; cutie-pie saxist and world class vogelizer.
He’s been busy, too, as he just got back from supervising next October’s issue of Playboy Magazine’s photo shoot of “the Girls of Aroostock County”, a smashing success. Now he’s back home ready to tear it up and shake you to your very core.
Pushing the beat from behind will be Roger Brocklebank, Madhouse timebomb, on drumms, and possibly vocals, if he’s not feelin’ too shy, and, of course, Greg “Whammy Bar” T. on catarrh, as well as myself, on base. We’re gonna tear it up!
NEXT THURSDAY: Willie “Loco” Alexander and the boys from Brazil! Featuring Billy Loosigian and Stevie “ha-ha” Chaggaris. Get there early: free cold compresses to the first 50 victims.

Topside Grille –  Events  ~ http://www.topsidegrill.com/index.php?link=events

Thursday- 8:00 to close ~ August 5 ~ Steppers Heaven:

The smooth, sultry and soulful sound of music being played the way it was meant to be. The songs by Steppers Heaven are as cool as the other side of the pillow. The group is made up of Bobby Bishop (vocals/guitar), Terrell ‘Model T’ Brown (vocals/guitar) and their band. Blue Soul Meets Rock and Roll. Delivering a sound that is a mix of The Blues, R&B, Reggae and Rock, Steppers Heaven is music that you will feel. They draw from their wealth of experience to deliver mesmerizing live performances that hold audiences captive. Bobby and Terelle have been noted musicians in Boston for several years, having taken it to a level rarely seen these days…appearing on the radio, on TV, the paper, documentaries, the studio, and of course the stage. Check out more at www.steppersheaven.com
Friday – 8:30 to close ~ Ryan Faraday:

At 24 years old, Ryan Fardy has had a fantastic start to his 9-year career.  He has played to crowds all over New England and the United States (Las Vegas, California, Florida…etc), and even Canada.  He has opened for the legendary Chaka Khan, Leon Russell, Edgar Winter, Mountain, Snoop Dogg, Rick Derringer, Hoobastank, and more.  He was also the featured cover story for Boston Blues Magazine at the age of 18. With an upbringing on the Boston Area blues scene, Ryan has created his own genre, mixing Blues, Rock, Funk, R&B, Soul, and Pop.  He is striving to make his songwriting ability known even though he still holds the “guitarslinger” tag throughout the Boston area.  His shows combine the inventiveness of Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck, the passion of Eric Clapton, and the on stage intensity of Stevie Ray Vaughan.  Audiences typically find themselves in awe of his command of the guitar and of the stage, and have trouble believing that they are witnessing the talents of someone so young.  However, they don’t have any trouble believing that they are seeing a performer who has a very bright future.

Joanne
