Dave Says,
The Mayan calendar predicts the end of the world this year and many doomsayers are warning of the coming apocalypse. I say; 666, come and get me. But let me take a shower and get dressed first. We’ve got our own version of the abruptment this week and we’re calling it ” The Rupture”. Yes, yes, we’re splitting our guts out to you the viewers, so you can see what the big deal is all about. Thank Iblis no-one understands me!
In honor of this solemn occasion , we’re proud to present the commodious Mr.Steve Sadler to our tiny stage this week. Stee-Vee is prodigious composer, recording studio genius, glitarist and star vogelsang. You may remember him from the days of that locally favorite band: The Barking Sharks. Steve is one of our faves, always ready with a snappy tune or a hip joke. We’ll be bending the floorboards all night long till Fred cries “Uncle!”
Holding up the universe will be that loincloth-clad hero: Mr. Jeff Casper, the friendly drummer and plumbing magnate, on eggbeaters. Of course, Mr. Greg T. on catarrh, and myself, on base, complete the madness. Don’t be L-seven, come and learn to dance!

Cape Ann Brewing ~ http://www.capeannbrewing.com/
Chantey Night, an open Tuesday night sing featuring members of Three Sheets to the Wind, Knockabout, and other music groups from the North Shore and the Boston area, has moved from the now-closed Cameron’s to the Cape Ann Brewing Company. The singing begins at 8:30 every Tuesday night. For all the schooner heads this is quite a thing to see. If you have someone coming into town and want to hear and see something very different it can be pretty cool.
Be warned though- don’t go planning a meeting or meet-up where you think you’re going to be able to carry on a conversation while they are singing. Best to plan it for a different night at Cape Ann Brewing.

David Borden’s “Moog: The Man I Knew
and the Machine I Learned”
FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Details
When the legendary Robert Moog introduced David Borden to his voltage-controlled electronic synthesizer, the groundbreaking experimentation and creative performances of Borden’s band, Mother Mallard’s Portable Masterpiece Co., echoed throughout music history for decades to come. Join Borden as he tells tales of Moog’s revolutionary inventions—the Moog Voyager and MiniMoog—and of his collaborations with celebrated minimalist
musicians like John Cage, Wendy Carlos, and Keith Emerson. Following his talk, Borden will perform his own composition, Easter–for Digital Audio File and Moog Soloist.
David Borden is one of America’s most accomplished classical minimalist/post-minimalist composers. His band, Mother Mallard’s Portable Masterpiece Co., experimented with electronic synthesizers earning them a place in history alongside such pioneers as Terry Riley, Philip Glass, and Tangerine Dream.
David Borden’s “Mother Mallard turns out some of the best synthesizer music around.”
