Bradley Royds has spent the last year recording and producing some of the North Shore’s finest musicians. Now he is switching gears! As the summer rolls out, Bradley will be releasing a steady stream of his own recordings, both old and new, and don’t miss him as he throws himself headlong in to the live music scene. Be there every Thursday for the month of June at Giuseppe’s.

Thank you to Dan King for hosting this jam and to Fred Shrigley for making it possible.

Monday – 9:00 to 12:30 Open jam with The Bandit Kings

Tuesday – 9:00 to 12:30 ~ Henely Douglas and Soul Force ~V~

June 27: Jake Pardee (having just turned 21!!!)

Words cannot possibly express how excited I am to have this
young talent as my invited musical guest. Jake Pardee turned
21 just last Wednesday (I tried to get him on his actual b-day,
but he said, “No chance, my friend. I have OTHER plans for
THAT night!” 🙂 Still, this Wednesday will mark Jake’s first
legal nightclub/bar performance! For that, I’m truly honored.
Plus… he’s planning on showcasing some brand new material
for the first time ever! A “very special” Wednesday at the

If you have someone coming into town and want to hear and see something very different it can be pretty cool.

I’m really eggcited this week! I have a coupla good shows goin’ on, so let’s get movin’!
Firstly, this Thursday at the Rumblind sees the return of that mayhem inspiring mover of the hips: Mr. John Keegan©, the man who practically invented the hangover! Erstwhile leader of that rocking’ outfit known as Madhouse, Johnny K. is sure to raise your blood pressure to alarming new levels as he gargles his way thru the entire soul music catalog. He’ll be backed up by that palpitating pianist and general keyboard wizard; Mr. John Cameron. We’ll also be tapping our canes to the boogie beat with our own Irish Ace of Pace: Mr. Benny Benson on eggbeaters. Of course, Mr. Greg T. and myself  will be there, too, monitoring the Richter Scale. Wear helmets!

Music Around Town ~ June 11-17, 2012

June 11, 2012 at 7:21 pm (Music)

Bradley Royds @ Giuseppe’s every Thursday for the Month of June 8:00pm to 11:00pm

Poster by Louise

http://bradleyroyds.com/bradley/index.html

Bradley Royds has spent the last year recording and producing some of the North Shore’s finest musicians. Now he is switching gears! As the summer rolls out, Bradley will be releasing a steady stream of his own recordings, both old and new, and don’t miss him as he throws himself headlong in to the live music scene. Be there every Thursday for the month of  June at Giuseppe’s.

‘The Conservatory’ at The Cape Ann (“The Annie”) is a no-cost professional arts training program for Cape Ann youth, ages 13-21, bridging them to adult mentors who are working in the fields of theatre, dance, music, poetry, comedy, design and tech. ‘The UnAdulterated Cabaret’ is their debut performance project. It opens tonight and runs every Sunday night, year-round. You’ll be blown away!

I am wicked excited about the Monday night jam. If you happen to stop by you may get to hear the Bandit Kings, Inge Berge and who knows who may appear. During these jams you get some magical moments from musicians that are there to let loose with no planned agenda.

Thursday – 9:00 to 12:00 ~ Dave Sag’s Blues Party

 Dave says,

It’s another harrowing experience this week as we aim that elephant gun and bring you down with the magnificent combination of Mr. Dave Brown and Dave Mattacks. Yes, yes, the Geezerz® are back in town and ready to mulch your mind with the grooviest of toons. With the systolic sliiideman and the atomic clock on board, it’s a new record every day. With the available Greg Tower option ,it’s pedal to the metal time. See your dealer for details. No salesman will visit your home. Wear safety glasses!
And remember, next Monday, The good old Salty Jazz Band hits it again at the Rose baker Senior Center downtown from 1 to 3 p.m. It’s free and diapers are available at the door! These cats swing! Even if you don’t come, you’ll be there sooner than you know!
And future heads up: Friday nite June 22 I’ll be opening up the Summer season at a new venue in town. The Manor Inn on Essex Ave. is opening under new management and I’ll be there with an all-star lineup to crank out some serious dancing music. Hours are 7 to 10, so you have no excuse not to show up! Come cheer us and them on! We need this!

The singing begins at 6:00 every Monday night. For all the schooner heads this is quite a thing to see. If you have someone coming into town and want to hear and see something very different it can be pretty cool.

Be warned though- don’t go planning a meeting or meet-up where you think you’re going to be able to carry on a conversation while they are singing. Best to plan it for a different night at Cape Ann Brewing.

Music Around Town ~ June 4 – June 10, 2012

June 4, 2012 at 7:08 pm (Music)

Bradley Royds @ Giuseppe’s every Thursday for the Month of June 8:00pm to 11:00pm

Poster by Louise

It is unfortunate at times to misinform and I hope that if one finds an error in this posting please bring it to my attention so it can be fixed.

Sincerely,

Joanne

Thursday – 9:00 to 12:00 ~ Dave Sag’s Blues Party

Dave says,

We had so much fun last week with Ed Scheer on board that i’ve decided to have him back this week to play along side his old teammate Mr. Mario Perrett. Cutie-pie saxist, former Playgirl© pinup, teen idol and magnificent vocalizer, Mr. MP has what it takes to raise any bar. For years he was the sexaphonist in the Love Dogs as well as in Madhouse. It’s always a pleasure to have both these guys around. They play, they sing, they wear my shirts and steal most of my songs, too. Anybody seen my wallet?
We always manage to pull out all the stops as well as your leg and your finger. With gootar-king and milliner Mr. Greg t. and myself aboard, we’re hoping to have a rousing good time. So bring your dancing shoe and your stump and hobble waddle doodle all night long!
N.B. If you have any friends or enemies who might like these minor missives, just send their addresses along to me. Always looking to spread the joys of music!

Mondays – 6:00 to 8:00 ~ Chantey Night, an open Monday night sing featuring members of Three Sheets to the Wind, Knockabout, and other music groups from the North Shore and the Boston area, has moved from the Cape Ann Brewing Company to  the Dog Bar .
